Facebook has been my digital missive of choice these days, so I wrote a post on Black Friday (which I rechristened Pink Friday) encouraging folks to check out some friends of mine who have their own businesses and shop with them instead of just the big boxes (for the record, I have only ever been in a Walmart to use the bathroom). I couldn't link to their sites though, because while you can connect to multiple other Facebook pages in a post, you can only have one link. Ptooey.
This format seems to be a more feasible way of sharing more about the delights of the Six Degrees of Rosemary Connors for your seasonal shopping needs - and by season, remember I take an expansive view: Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Solstice/Diwali/sit around the house and watch TV/urban Buddhist retreat. I have such eclectically-interested, fabulously talented friends and I am going to put more folks on this space on over the next few weeks (and God only knows what other ramblings), so stay tuned. Thanks to my friends for all the ways they inspire me (and to Diane Pealer for the title for this blog)!
- milkshake crafts for uplifting, colorful jewelry and art for your home or office. I have several of the art blocks and pendants. The artist, Lisa Kelley, is having a holiday sale for a little while on her etsy site.
- Hello World - the general store of cool - vintage furniture, home decor - because J Lamancuso has amazing taste and finds such wonderful things!
- Lauren Meredith Jewelery is as gorgeous as she is. Discuss.
- Ahappyslappygreeting is the vivacious Aleea Slappy's happy store for one of a kind cards.
- Donno Layton - paintings and prints from one of my fave folks from my West Philly years. A visual artist in so many media, if I ever got a tattoo, it would be only from Donno.
- Nancy Beaudette Music has a new holiday CD out - all new beautiful *original* seasonal songs for those who can't take Jingle Bells one more time.
- Fabio and Danny's Cafe, at the Wayne Train Station is the official home of Storytime with Miss Rosie, my kids' story hour (next one is January 5). The owners, my friends Joseph, Fabio and Jovanna Bevilacqua, have delicious holiday treats and other gifts for you and yours - Jovanna's mom makes the pizzelles right in the cafe - and they are now shipping!
